We are a small in home cattery.
We live in southeastern Michigan. My husband and I both work outside the
home so this is not our primary income.
This is important to you because this
is something we do because we love to
do it, not because we are dependant on
it in any way. We do not cut corners in
any way. We will not over breed our females.
All cats are vaccinated and receive
yearly veterinary checks. All have been
tested for leukemia and they are all negative.
As the cats age they will receive HCM
screens as well.
We feed a very high
quality food. All cats are fed Life's Abundance dry
food. They are fed Wysong canned food. Kittens are eating Royal Canin dry as well as Wysong and Wellness canned food. I have done extensive research
and found this to be the best food for us. It is made with all natural ingredients
that are high enough in quality to be
fed to humans. This is important to
me as I love the cats and want to give
them the best. This food uses no by-products
and minimal fillers. It is also high in protein.
All cats are housed in our home as well as the cattery building.
They are extremely well socialized
and people friendly animals. They are
given the run of the house while inside. The girls are rotated and spend time inside with us when they are not in heat. All kittens you get
from us will have been completely in the house with free run as well. We do not cage our
animals. We a cattery building right behind the house to accomadate the cats. They will have their own bedrooms and will not be in cages. There will be a bedroom for the girls and one for the boys with a breeding room in between. We put the cattery very close to the house so the kids can visit them whenever they like. They will have a variety of cat toys and posts in there to play on. The cattery is also fully heated as well. Our cats and their comfort are very important to us.
I will not do any kitten
back deals because I don’t want
so many cats I am forced to cut any
corners. And I don’t want to end
up with 10 or more pets in the end.
- Where Your Money Goes -
A portion of every kitten sale will go to benefit a camp for children that is close to my heart. I am a mother of a child with reactive attachment disorder (RAD). This is a very sad disorder where children, because of trauma in their early years, do not trust anyone else. They fail to develop a normal conscience due to lack of trust. They fail to have normal empathy for any living things. Without treatment these children are at high risk of jail or prison in their adult years. The therapy these children require is very costly and usually not covered by insurance because the diagnosis is fairly new and the psychological treatment considered in the experiemental phases. With proper therapy these children have a chance at a very normal life with normal healthy relationships. Parents trying to raise these children are functioning at extremely high stress levels and require a lot of outside support to be successful.
There is a woman by the name of Nancy Thomas who is known world wide for her work with RAD children. She spends a considerable amount of her time lecturing for therapist nationwide and for parents as well. Nancy Thomas also leads a group of camps across the country for these children. At the camp she will spend an entire week with a group of children and their families for family bonding camp. Parents will learn new techniques to teach their children to trust and love once again. They will have a chance to work one on one with Nancy Thomas for an entire week. In order to go to camp it is very costly for families. The cost is about $400/person to attend. I am hosting a Heart to Heart Camp in Howell, Michigan. A portion of every kitten sale will go to fund the camp and help make the cost less for each family attending.
You need not worry about the safety of your kitten as my child has no issues with animals and loves them to death. Animals are one of the few things he does trust and he is not on the severe end of RAD. You can read more about RAD at www.attachment.org, which is Nancy Thomas' website.
If you wish to make a donation outside of a kitten purchase to assist us in Heart to Heart Camp please contact us for more details at laptopleopardz@aol.com

What You Will
Receive -
When you get your bengal kitten
this is what you will receive. You will
get a well rounded and happy kitten
of good health. If your kitten is coming
to you as a pet he/she will be altered
(spayed/neutered) already by our vet and you will receive
a record of that as well. I will give
you the vet “report card”
of the exam and the vaccination record along with all the preop lab work that was done.
You will get a sample of Royal Canin baby cat
kitten food. Please do the transition
slowly if you plan on changing foods
so the kitten does not have a tummy
problem (cats are sensitive to a quick
food change). You will get a kitten
blankie for your new baby. This is a
fleece blanket hand made by me and put
in the nesting box at the time your
kitten is born. This will help the kitten
adjust by giving him/her the smell of
their Mama to go to its new home with. You
will also be receiving a hard carrier
and bedding if shipped. All kittens will come with a set of toys they are used to playing with as well. Each kitten will come home with a CD of pictures taken of them from birth until the time they go home with you. This is usually about 200 pictures. Kittens will not be released before 12 weeks as breeders or pets (due to their spay/neuter surgery).
- Payment -
If your kitten is being shipped to
you I must have payment in full two
weeks in advance to arrange for airfare. I charge $300 for shipping in the continental US. In order to ship a kitten we must buy a plane ticket for them at the cost of $150-200 depending on the airline. We have to get them a health certificate that is $50. They must go in a carrier that is $25 plus the bedding that is $15. The other $25 is for our gas and time to take this kitten to the airport that is 90 minutes away. This is where our shipping cost goes. This is our preferred plan
unless special arrangements have been
made. International shipping will be assessed at the time of the sale due to not knowing all the airfares for the specific countries and their requirements.
I must have $200 down to hold
a pet kitten and $500 to hold a breeder
kitten. This ensures that you are serious about the kitten and will not change your mind preventing the kitten from getting a home with someone else. The rest can be paid via cash at the time of pickup. We will accept paypal but it must be paid a few days prior to pickup to make sure it has cleared our account. If paying by paypal for deposit or final payment please include a 3% processing fee that paypal charges to us. This ensures that we actually recieve our asking price for the kitten.
Prices are as follows and depend
on the quality of the kitten that you
choose, according to the breed standard. All deposits are non-refundable unless the kitten you have chosen becomes unavailable for any reason. I always reserve the right not to sell a kitten to anyone for any reason at any time.
Pet kitten: $700 and up
Breeder kitten: $1800 and up
Breeder/show or show/alter: $2200
and up
F2 kittens: $1500 pet or $2500 breeder
(these are bottle raised kittens that require a lot of work)
